Intelus is an artificial intelligence (AI) machine teaching company with the purpose of making AI software more accessible to users and businesses without the normally required high costs and skills. The Seattle-based company was founded in November 2020 by Patrice Simard, Gary Flake, Riham Mansour, and Amit Mital, former executives from Microsoft and Salesforce.
Intelus describes its technology as "machine teaching" rather than machine learning. On December 7, 2021, Intelus launched an open beta version of a machine teaching platform called Duet, which allows users to create AI models from unstructured data without creating code or requiring advanced data science tools. The AI models can be used to classify and extract data from text samples.
