The International Medical University (IMU) is a private educational institution located in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was founded in 1992 and operates in the education, higher education, and university sectors. IMU is a part of IHH Healthcare, a Malaysian healthcare provider, and is an instance of both an organization and an educational institute.
The university's Motto is "Become the future of better Healthcare". IMU is also known as Международный медицинский университет in Russian and Universiti Perubatan Antarabangsa in Malay.
IMU has been accredited by several national and international organizations and governing bodies, such as the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan, Malaysian Qualifications Agency, Sri Lanka Medical Council, Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia, Council on Chiropractic Education Australasia, Royal Society of Chemistry in the United Kingdom, Institute of Biomedical Science in the United Kingdom, Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council, International Confederation of Dietetics Association, and Irish Medical Council.
Additionally, IMU is affiliated with the South East Asia Association for Dental Education.
