Itzhak Katzenelson was a Polish writer and poet, born on July 1, 1886, in Karelichy, Poland. He held Polish citizenship and was known for his work as a writer and poet. Tragically, Katzenelson died on May 1, 1944, at the Auschwitz concentration camp, a devastating chapter in the history of Poland and the world.
