Bulgarian writer and poet
Ivan Vazov is one of the most famous Bulgarian poets, often called the patriarch of Bulgarian literature. Vazov's work is a reflection of two historical eras - the Bulgarian revival and the formation of independent Bulgaria. He was an academician of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Minister of Education from the People's Party of Bulgaria from September 7, 1897 to January 30, 1899 and honorary chairman of the Union of Bulgarian Writers.
