Ivan Yakubovsky

Ivan Yakubovsky (1911-1976) was a Soviet military officer and politician . He was born on December 25, 1911, in Horki District and held citizenship in the Soviet Union . Yakubovsky received education from the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia and the United Belarusian Military School . Throughout his career, he occupied positions as a politician and officer in the armed forces . Yakubovsky died on November 30, 1976, in Moscow .

During his lifetime, Yakubovsky was awarded numerous times for his service and achievements. Some of the notable awards he received include Hero of the Soviet Union, Hero of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, Order of Lenin, Order of the Red Banner, Order of the Patriotic War 1st class, Order of Merit for the Fatherland, 3rd class, and Order of Karl Marx . Additionally, Yakubovsky was recognized with various medals for his contributions to WWII, including the Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945" and the Medal "For the Capture of Berlin" .
