Smith released CTV2, his second mixtape, in November 2014. After three years of work, he released his debut studio album Syre on November 17, 2017. Early life

Jaden Smith was born on July 8, 1998 in Malibu, California to actors Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith. He has an older half-brother, Trey Smith (born 1992) and a younger sister, Willow Smith (born 2000). Smith attended the New Village Leadership Academy before his parents transitioned to homeschooling. Growing up, Smith's celebrity status due to his starring in films such as The Pursuit of Happyness and his parents, both established actors, resulted in him being isolated from a normal childhood, which he has spoken at length about. . Smith and his siblings were youth ambassadors for the Zambi project, which works with Hasbro to help Zambian children orphaned by AIDS.

In 2010, Jayden rapped along with Canadian singer Justin Bieber on the song "Never Say Never". The song peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified 5x platinum in the US.

On October 1, 2012, Jayden released his debut mixtape, The Cool Cafe. On November 8, 2014, Jayden released a sequel to The Cool Cafe called CTV2.

Jayden began work on his debut studio album in 2014, a process that took three years. In December 2016, Jayden announced that his debut studio album would be titled Syre. The lead single from "Syre" "Fallen" was released on December 5, 2016, with three more singles released: "Batman" and "Watch Me" on July 14, 2017, and "Falcon" on November 16. Influences

Jayden's influences include Kid Cudi, Kanye West, Kurt Cobain and Tycho. Smith also credits his father, Will Smith, as an inspiration, saying, “He started in music and moved on to film. I started with films and then moved on to making music - I look at him and use that as an example of how good a person he is, but not necessarily the success he has achieved."

GQ described Jayden as "in a league of his own" in terms of fashion and "a superstar who has taken fashion to a whole other level." Jayden has named Tyler, The Creator, Batman and Poseidon as his icons when it comes to fashion. Smith said that Tyler, the Creator introduced him to Supreme. Batman's dark gothic landscapes influenced the clothing he created through his MSFTSrep brand and his personal clothing style, wearing Batman's protective armor to Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's wedding and prom. Smith is a partner in the spring water company Just Water, which began operations when he was only twelve years old. Just Water is trying to create a low-cost water filtration system that can be used in poor areas and countries, and wants to later help with water infrastructure and cleaner building practices by producing its own drywall. Personal life
