NFTs (or non-fungible tokens) are simply unique digital assets. They can be used to represent art, music, gaming assets, videos, and more. NFTs provide proof of ownership, are verifiably unique, and are transferable.
What do Jambb NFTs do?
Jambb NFTs are available on a standalone basis, or as part of a pack, which is an assortment of jokes, bits, sets, or memorabilia. We create scarcity by tiering the moments into common, uncommon, rare, legendary, and exclusive. Once you buy the content, you can start creating your own collection on the Jambb network, then continue to collect, sell, or reap the rewards of your personal gallery—think tickets to a show, backstage passes, or even the ability to choose your favorite comedian’s closing bit for a future show.
Aren't NFTs bad for the environment?
Some of the most popular blockchains today use a process called "proof of work," which requires a lot of intensive computing power to confirm transactions and uses a lot of electricity. Jambb’s NFT technology lives on Dapper Labs’ “proof of stake” network, which is 99% more efficient at storage, making it good for fans, good for creators, and better for the environment—that’s no joke.
Do I need to create a blockchain wallet to use Jambb?
No wallet? No problem. Jambb is designed to support both native crypto-experts and beginners alike. Registering for our platform with just your email address automatically creates all the necessary blockchain addresses you need. You can even pay with a credit card.
What if I'm a crypto-expert and have my own wallets already?
If you’re a crypto-expert, you can link existing wallets and transfer NFTs to external addresses for greater flexibility and control. Keep in mind that you’ll still need to link your wallet containing your NFTs to benefit from expanded features like watching content and receiving airdrops.
Will there be ads on Jambb's platform?
We believe that modern advertising today takes too much from us and offers too little. With Jambb and blockchain technology in general, your data is only shared with outside parties after you give your explicit approval. If the Jambb community decides to implement ads, we will make it an opt-in only choice with trusted partners and optional in-platform perks and benefits.
