James H. Newman

James H. Newman is a physicist and astronaut who was born on October 16, 1956, in the Federated States of Micronesia. He is the son of Ruth Hansen and Dr. William Newman.

Newman completed his education at La Jolla High School, Dartmouth College, and Rice University. Throughout his career, he has been recognized with several awards, including the NASA Group Achievement Award, NASA Superior Achievement award, and NASA Space Flight Medal.
