James II of Scotland (1430-1460) was a politician and a King of Scotland, having been born in Holyrood Abbey, and obtaining his education at the University of St Andrews. He held citizenship in the Kingdom of Scotland. James II was the son of James I of Scotland and Joan Beaufort, Queen of Scots. He was also the father of Alexander Stewart, Duke of Albany. James II of Scotland passed away in Roxburgh on August 3, 1460.
