King of aragon
James I of Aragon (2 February 1208 – 27 July 1276) was born in Montpellier and was a citizen of the Crown of Aragon. Throughout his life, he held multiple roles, including those of a politician and military personnel. James I of Aragon's parents were Maria of Montpellier and Peter II of Aragon.
James I of Aragon was the founder of Villarreal. He had multiple children, including Peter III of Aragon, who he fathered. James I was also the father of Isabella of Aragon, Queen of France, and Constance of Aragon, Lady of Villena.
James I of Aragon died in Alzira, Valencia on 27 July 1276.
