James Smith

James Smith is a British angel investor and entrepreneur known for being the founder of Bugsnag. Smith is also known for being the first employee and CTO of the startup company Heyzap that was acquired by RNTS Media for $45 million in January 2016.

In 2002 James Smith began studying at the University of Bath. Smith participated in an entrepreneurial organization called BANTER, and worked with the University of Bath student radio as a web admin during his undergraduate studies. He graduated in 2007 from the University of Bath with a Bsc with honours in mathematics and computing.
