Jane Air

Jane Air is a Russian rock band consisting of: Anton Lissov (vocals), Sergey Grigoriev (guitar), Sergey Makarov (bass guitar), Anton Sagachko (drums).

The Jane Air group was formed in 1999 and consisted of four people: Anton Lissov - vocals, Sergey Grigoriev - guitar, Sergey Makarov - bass, Anton Sagachko - drums. On January 1, 2001, the group played their first solo concert at the Moloko club.

In 2002, Jane Air signed a contract with the independent St. Petersburg label Kapkan Records and released their debut album Pull Ya? in a limited edition of 1000 copies. Let It Doll Go! The group, together with the label, conducted a promotional campaign on the Internet, and also organized a number of alternative festivals ("The Holiday of the Killed Christmas Tree Toy 2005-2009", "Stars Fucktory vol.1-6"), which are still taking place to this day.

On September 2, 2004, the band released a new studio album called Jane Air. The album was released by the label "Kapkan Records" on CD. In support of the album, a concert tour called "Screamin & Growlin" took place in October 2004.

In 2005, Jane Air became the sales leader of the Kapkan Records label, and the song "Junk", which was included in the first album and also released as a single, received the RAMP (Rock Alternative Music Prize) established by the A-One TV channel in the nomination "Song of the Year".

Material filmed at the big Jane Air solo concert was edited in August 2005 with a live DVD: Jane Air Live and a live album of the same name. The DVD also included a video for the song "Paris", assembled from various archival footage of the group. The DVD presentation took place in October 2005.

In January 2006, a mini-tour took place in Finland with the support of the Finnish band Killpretty [source not specified 2056 days].

On April 19, 2006, the band released their third studio album titled Pere-Lachaise: Love and a Little Death. In support of the album, clips for the songs "Superstar", "9.80665" and "Messalina" are released.

In the summer of 2007 the DVD Drive to the grave was released with clips, concert and backstage. Jane Air changed labels and on September 17, their fourth album, Sex and Violence, was released on A-One Records. The presentation was held in the capital's club "B1 Maximum".

On April 4, 2008, Jane Air received the Fuzz magazine award for best album [source not specified 2056 days].

In 2010 Jane Air released the double album Weekend Warriors, which is almost an hour and a half long.

In 2012, the group released the album Illusion of Flight. The disc features songs recorded together with Max Kamenshchikov (Top-Display!, formerly Origami), Lelik Zverkov (MORE&RAILS), Artyom Kudryashov (DEADKEDY) and Dmitry Ulyanov (Ocean of My Hope). The album also included a cover version of the song "All this nonsense" by the Splin group. Video clips were shot for the songs "ZVVSZ" ("Star of the East, Evening Sun of the West"), "Growling Sparks Tigers" and "The Last Song of Summer".

In 2014, thanks to the Planeta.ru website, funds were raised for the recording of the Black Harbor album, which was released in the spring of 2015.

Some of the band members (Sergey Makarov and Anton Lissov) tour as part of the Little Big rave project, and guitarist Sergei Grigoriev participates in the Gorshenyov project.

The band played as an opening act for Clawfinger, Therapy? and Linkin Park.
