Jane Moore Sibbett is an American actress best-known for her roles of Heddy Newman in the TV series ‘Herman’s Head’ and Carol Willick in the popular sitcom ‘Friends’. Sibbett was born in Berkeley, California. She began her acting career in 1985 with a guest role in the TV movie ‘Scarecrow and Mrs. King’. She also appeared in the television film ‘Promises to Keep’ the same year. Her first recurring role was in the soap opera ‘Santa Barbara’. Her most well-known work is ‘Herman’s Head’, where she played a main role. She is also famous for playing the role of Carol, ex-wife of Ross Geller, in the internationally acclaimed sitcom ‘Friends’. She has also appeared in several films, mostly in supporting roles. Some of them include ‘Shatterbrain’, ‘A Merry Little Christmas’, and ‘Pretty Little Devils’. Other than being an actress, she is an advocate for domestic violence survivors. She also runs the 1736 Family Crisis Center which is in Los Angeles.
Jane Sibbett was born on 28 November 1962, in Berkeley, California, in the US. She was the youngest one of five siblings. She studied at the University of California, in Los Angeles.
Jane Sibbett’s first significant work on television was the role of Jane Wilson in the soap opera ‘Santa Barbara’, in 1986 and 1987. The series revolved around the lives of four families. For her performance, Sibbett was nominated for the Best Newcomer Soap Opera Digest Awards. She also appeared in TV movies such as ‘Promises to Keep’ (1985) and ‘Miracle at Beekman’s Place’ (1988). In 1990, she was seen in the film ‘Fear’, a suspense thriller.
Her first lead role in a movie was seen in the 1991 horror film ‘Shatterbrain’ (also known as ‘The Resurrected’). The film was directed by Dan O’Bannon. It was an adaptation of the horror novel ‘The Case of Charles Dexter Ward’. In 1989 and 1990, she was seen in the American sitcom ‘The Famous Teddy Z’ in a recurring role.

Since the 2000s, she hasn’t been very active. She appeared in few films such as ‘Buffalo Dreams’ (2005), ‘Pretty Little Devils’ (2008) and ‘Winter Wedding’ (2017). As of March 2020, her last work 2019 TV movie ‘A Date by Christmas Eve’.
