Jason Statham

Jason Statham is an English-born actor, martial artist, fashion model, and former professional diver. Statham is known for his roles in action and thriller movies, playing tough and violent characters and performing his own stunts.

Statham began his career as a model for the leading fashion retail brand French Connection. During his time as a model, Statham met film director Guy Ritchie. Ritchie offered Statham the role of a con man in his movie Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels after learning Statham had a history as a black-market salesman. After his breakout role, Statham and Ritchie worked together in Snatch, alongside Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt. Other hit movies in which he has acted include The Transporter, Crank, The Expendables, and The Fast and the Furious.

Statham was also a diver on the British Olympic Team in Seoul, Korea, in 1988, and in 1992, he was a diver on the British National Diving Team and finished twelfth in the World Championships.

Statham was born in Shirebrook, Derbyshire, to Eileen (Yates), a dancer, and Barry Statham, a street merchant and lounge singer. Jason Statham has an older brother named Lee, and both took an early interest in martial arts.

Statham has been in a relationship with model Rosie Huntington-Whitely since 2010. The two began their relationship when the two England natives met at a London party in 2009. It wasn't until two years later that they made their relationship public. In June 2017, the couple welcomed their first son, Jack Oscar. In February 2022, the couple welcomed their second child, a daughter named Isabella James.
