Jawaharlal Nehru was a lawyer , statesman , writer , politician , and barrister , born on November 14, 1889, in Allahabad . He held citizenship in both British Raj and India . Nehru was educated at City Law School , Trinity College, Cambridge , and Harrow School . His father was Motilal Nehru , and his child was Indira Gandhi , who later became the Prime Minister of India.
Nehru was the founder of Seva Dal , a grassroots Indian organization for volunteer workers. He has two patents under his name and is well-known for his notable works, such as "Glimpses of World History" , "The Discovery of India" , and "Letters from a Father to His Daughter" . Jawaharlal Nehru passed away on May 27, 1964, in New Delhi .
