JEFF BRIDGES
Jeff Bridges was born on December 4, 1949, in Los Angeles (USA).
Jeff Bridges made his debut in front of the camera at the age of 4 months in The Company She Owns. Along with his father, the famous actor Lloyd Bridges and his brother Bo, he starred in television series.
Before going into acting, Jeff worked for a time in the Coast Guard. He received his acting training at the studios of Herbert Bergdorf and Uta Hagen in New York City.
The real - and immediately drawing the attention of the American Film Academy - debut of the young actor was in Peter Bogdanovich's The Last Picture Show (1971). During the 70′s, the actor was in the public eye, starring in a number of interesting projects. However, a turbulent personal life, which gave food "yellow press" and a few unsuccessful films undermined the course of an acting career, and the new success came to Jeff Bridges in the mid-80s, after the science fiction film "Man with the Stars" by John Carpenter (1984).
Jeff Bridges has established himself not only as a great actor, he is also known as an artist and photographer. His works are from time to time exhibited in famous galleries. Jeff Bridges has a musical talent as well, which he demonstrated back in 1989 with his brother Bo and Michelle Pfeiffer in The Baker Brothers Famous. He writes lyrics and songwriting and works with Quincy Jones.
Jeff Bridges has been called "the most underrated great actor of his generation," which has already become a stereotype of modern film criticism at the light of Janet Maslin, who so first called him in her 1992 review of American Heart (1992) in the New York Times. Known for his relaxed, naturalistic style of acting, Bridges has remained one of the leading actors for decades without being a box-office hit. Moreover, Bridges has made his career without emulating such modern stars as Al Pacino, Jack Nicholson and Robert De Niro...
Jeff Bridges has been married to his wife Susan for over 30 years. He has three daughters. He lives in California.
