Jeffrey Ashby

Jeffrey Ashby is an astronaut and officer (armed forces) born on June 1, 1954, in Dallas, United States. He was educated at the University of Idaho, United States Naval Test Pilot School, Evergreen High School in Colorado, and the University of Tennessee.

Ashby has received numerous awards throughout his career, including the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Air Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, NASA Outstanding Leadership Medal, NASA Exceptional Service Medal, and NASA Space Flight Medal. He is currently employed at Blue Origin.
