Jeffrey David Ullman is a computer scientist born on November 22, 1942, in New York City. Ullman holds citizenship in the United States and has been educated at Princeton University and Columbia University.
Throughout his career, Ullman was supervised by doctoral advisor Archie McKellar. He has also guided numerous doctoral students, including Ravi Sethi, Dan Hirschberg, Surajit Chaudhuri, Jeffrey Naughton, Harry Mairson, and Alberto Torres. Other notable students include Kevin Karplus, David Maier, Yehoshua Sagiv, Alan Siegel, Anand Rajaraman, Anna Karlin, Katherine Faw Morris, Inderpal Singh Mumick, and Marc Kaplan.
