Jerry Falwell (born August 11, 1933- May 15, 2007) was a preacher and public figure who founded the Moral Majority. He was born and later died in Lynchburg, Virginia. Falwell holds U.S citizenship and received his education from Baptist Bible College in Missouri.
He had two children, Jerry Falwell Jr. and Jonathan Falwell. As a person who played a prominent role in American religious and political life, Jerry Falwell shaped the nation's social and cultural landscape during his lifetime.
