Jerry Lewis (born Joseph Levitch) was a multitalented individual widely known for his various occupations, including film producer, film director, singer-songwriter, writer, screenwriter, musician, comedian, television producer, and singer. He was born on March 16, 1926, in Newark, New Jersey, and passed away on August 20, 2017, in Las Vegas.
Lewis received his education at both Irvington High School in New Jersey and the University of California, Los Angeles. Throughout his career, he was known for his involvement in pop music and was the director of films such as "The Ladies Man", "Hardly Working", and "The Big Mouth".
