Established in 2016, JigSpace is an augmented reality (AR) platform for presentations. It allows users to develop and distribute 3D and augmented reality presentations. These creations are referred to as Jigs. Use cases include manufacturing prototyping, product marketing, and sales training, as well as education and technical support in industries like manufacturing and engineering.
Users can upload their CAD files to JigSpace or browse the platform's object library. They can add motion, effects, colors, textures, and sound to their creations whenever they're viewed via the AR app. When the creation is done, it can be shared with a team, and a link or QR code can be generated to allow customers to view the product from different angles.
Jig Workshop is used by companies like Medtronic and Hino Trucks. Niche manufacturers such as Swoop Aero or Triangle Waterquip also use it to share 3D presentations. Jig Workshop can be used to demonstrate and create 3D products that offer multiplayer and remote interaction from different customers, colleagues, or stakeholders. The company participated in the Tribe 7 cohort of Boost VC in February 2016.
