Joe May (born July 11, 1880, in Vienna, Austria; died April 29, 1954, in Hollywood) was a film director, screenwriter, and film producer. He held Austrian citizenship and was the father of Eva May.
Throughout his career, May directed numerous films, such as "Die geheimnisvolle Villa", "Hilde Warren und der Tod", "The Armoured Vault", and "The Man in the Cellar". Other notable titles he directed include "The Sin of Helga Arndt", "The Onyx Head", "Wedding in the Eccentric Club", and "Waves of Fate".
Later in his career, May directed films such as "Your Big Secret", "Five Minutes Too Late", "Veritas Vincit", "The Wandering Image", "The Invisible Man Returns", "You're Not So Tough", and "Hit the Road".
Additionally, Joe May directed films like "Johnny Doesn't Live Here Any More", "All for Love", "Society Smugglers", "The Typist Gets Married", "The House of Fear", "Her Majesty the Barmaid", "His Highness Love", "Companion Wanted", and "Two in a Car".
