Elector of brandenburg
John Cicero (2 August 1455 – 9 January 1499) was the Elector of Brandenburg from 1486 until his death. He was born in Ansbach and died in Arneburg. John was of German nationality and held citizenship in Germany. He was the fourth Elector of the House of Hohenzollern.
His father was Albrecht III Achilles, Elector of Brandenburg, and his mother was Margaret of Baden. John Cicero was known for his occupations as a politician, duke, and member of the aristocracy. After his death, he received the cognomen Cicero.
John Cicero was the father of several children, including Joachim I Nestor, Elector of Brandenburg, Anna of Brandenburg, Duchess of Mecklenburg, Ursula of Brandenburg, Albert of Brandenburg, and Anna of Brandenburg.
