Scottish author and celticist
John Francis Campbell (1821-1884) was a Scottish author and scholar specializing in Celtic studies. Born on December 29, 1821, in Islay, he was the son of Walter Frederick Campbell and Lady Eleanor Charteris. Campbell, also known as Young John of Islay, was educated at Eton College.
His expertise in the field of Celtic studies earned him recognition as an authority on the subject. Campbell's occupation was that of a writer.
On January 1, 1884, Campbell passed away in Cannes.
