John Huston was born on August 5, 1906, in Nevada, Missouri and passed away on August 28, 1987, in Middletown, Rhode Island. He was a multi-faceted American artist with a variety of occupations, including actor, film director, screenwriter, film producer, and writer. Huston held citizenship in the United States and was educated at institutions such as the Art Students League of New York, Abraham Lincoln High School (Los Angeles), and Hollywood High School. His father was actor Walter Huston.
Throughout his career, John Huston directed notable films like The Maltese Falcon, The Asphalt Jungle, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Key Largo, The African Queen, and Prizzi's Honor. He authored Report from the Aleutians and directed Under the Volcano.
Huston was also the founder of James Joyce Tower and Museum and Ohio TechAngel Funds. He had four children: Anjelica Huston(36290903)), Danny Huston, Allegra Huston, and Tony Huston.
Throughout his distinguished career, John Huston received numerous awards, including the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Golden Globe Awards, BAFTA Award, New York Film Critics Circle Awards, National Society of Film Critics Awards, and the Academy Award for Best Director, among others.
