John Russell, 6th Duke of Bedford, was a British politician and aristocrat born on July 6, 1766, at Woburn Abbey. He held citizenship in the Kingdom of Great Britain. Throughout his life, his occupations included being a politician and a member of the aristocracy (class). The 6th Duke of Bedford passed away on October 20, 1839.
Russell was educated at the University of Oxford and was a son of Francis Russell, the Marquess of Tavistock. John Russell, 6th Duke of Bedford, had several children, including John Russell, 1st Earl Russell, and Francis Russell, the 7th Duke of Bedford. Some of his other children were Lord George Russell, Lord Edward Russell, Lord Alexander Russell, Louisa Hamilton (Duchess of Abercorn), Lord Charles Russell, and Lord Wriothesley Russell.
