John Russell, Viscount Amberley (1842-1876) was a politician from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. Born on December 10, 1842, he was the son of John Russell, 1st Earl Russell, and Frances Russell.
Viscount Amberley was educated at Harrow School and Trinity College, Cambridge. He had three children: Bertrand Russell, Frank Russell, 2nd Earl Russell, and Rachel Renée Russell. Bertrand Russell would go on to become a renowned philosopher, logician, and mathematician.
Viscount Amberley's career in politics was cut short by his early death on January 9, 1876.
