Jolin Tsai (born September 15, 1980) is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter, composer, and actress known for her work in pop music, dance-pop, C-pop, and Mandopop genres. Born in New Taipei City, Tsai is also a businessperson, songwriter, writer, record producer, and entrepreneur. She holds Taiwanese citizenship and is often referred to by her pseudonym, Jolin.
Tsai pursued higher education at Fu Jen Catholic University and Xinzhuang. She later founded the company Seventy Two Changes. Throughout her career, Tsai has won numerous awards from various organizations, including the Apple Daily Music Awards, Canadian Chinese Pop Music Chart, Asia LGBT Milestone Awards, and China Fashion Awards.
