JOSEPH BOTTOMS
He was born on April 22, 1954, in Santa Barbara. He is the second of four sons of James and Betty Bottoms. His brothers, Timothy, Sam and Ben, are also actors and have managed to work together in some movies.
The parents are also connected to the world of movies, but their acting careers began in their mature years. His father - James Bud Bottoms - played together with Timothy in the drama "Across the Mountains", and in the film "Dove" the role of the mother of Joe's character was played by his real mother - Betty. His parents divorced when Joseph was 20 years old, and all four brothers are very hard going through it.
Joe dreamed of becoming an actor since childhood. His first work in film was the movie "Excitement in a Small Town," where he starred at age 18. But real fame came to him after the second film - "Dove" (1974). In this picture the actor played a 16-year-old boy, who alone made a trip around the world on a small boat. For this role, he received a Golden Globe, in the category "Most Promising Young Actor".
Bottom's creative baggage currently includes more than 50 roles in films and TV series. As a guest star - in the TV series "Murder She Wrote," "Cool Walker," "Street Justice," "Hotel," "Profile of a Killer," and many others. He is also popular for his work in theater.
