José Luis Chilavert was born on July 27, 1965 in Luque , Paraguay . He is a former football player who held Paraguayan nationality . Chilavert was also known by the pseudonyms "Chila" and "The Bulldog" .

Throughout his career, Chilavert received multiple awards, including the Intercontinental Cup Winner , Coupe de France , South American Footballer of the Year , and FIFA XI . He was also part of the IFFHS Legends , FIFA World Cup All-Star Team , World Soccer's 100 Greatest Footballers of All Time , and was awarded titles in the Primera División and Copa Libertadores .
