Joss Whedon, born as Joseph Hill Whedon on June 23, 1964, is a versatile American artist with various occupations. He was born and raised in New York City, and holds citizenship in the United States. Some of his popular occupations include film director, screenwriter, television director, and composer. In addition, he is also known for his work as a film producer, writer, novelist, actor, cartoonist, animator, and television producer.
Whedon received his education from various institutions, including Wesleyan University, Winchester College, and Riverdale Country School. His father, Tom Whedon, had an influence in his life.
Joss Whedon is well-known for creating the Buffyverse, and he is the founder of Bellwether Pictures. Some of his most notable works as a creator include Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Serenity, Thanos, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and The Cabin in the Woods. He has also directed films and episodes such as Serenity, The Avengers (2012 film), Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Business School (The Office).
