Biography
Julian is a descendant of the ancient Huxley family, the grandson of Thomas Huxley, his brother was the famous writer Aldous Huxley, and his half-brother was the Nobel laureate Andrew Huxley. He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, where in 1910-1912. lectured on zoology. In 1956 he received the Royal Society Darwin Medal. In 1958 he was awarded a knighthood.
