Junior Punks is an NFT collection that sold out and raised $3.5M in December of 2021. The project is renowned for owning the popular online news publication NFTMagazine.com, granting holders a spot as contributors for the platform.
History
In December of 2021, the Junior Punks project was launched by 20-year-old influencers Joey Sendz and TheBlondeJon (Jonathan Madrid). The team brought a unique twist to the NFT space by leveraging their unique abilities and connections as influencers to bring celebrities, public figures, professional athletes, and other influencers into the community.
This focus on building a strong community led Junior Punks to a hasty sell out, as NFT holders were now able to converse and hang out with famous and successful people that they were never able to have access to before.
NFT Magazine
A few months after the launch of Junior Punks, the founders realized that most popular utilities in the NFT space didn't actually provide long term value. Coin staking, mutations, airdrops, and merch were just temporary trends that lasted no more than a few months.
In order to ensure a long term future for Junior Punks, the founding team, Joey Sendz and TheBlondeJon, built NFT Magazine. Joey Sendz stated that "Nobody in the NFT space can plan for years in the future because the space changes so fast. However, there is one thing that will never go out of style and has a proven business model. The news."
As of late 2022 NFT Magazine does multiple million impressions throughout its social media accounts, and is doing thousands of monthly readers. In the long term NFT Magazine's influence may become so large that it can leverage Junior Punks to the top.
Founders
Junior Punks was founded by Joey Sendz and TheBlondeJon, who both got their start in TikTok.
Marketing
The project marketing was led by JetSet (Josh King Madrid) and he used his AI messenger chatbot for Instagram DM
to generate over 27,000 leads with a 97.9% opt-in conversion and generate multiple 7-figures in sales in less than 3 weeks from launching the campaign.
