Karim Mostafa Benzema (born December 19, 1987, Lyon) is a French footballer, striker and vice-captain of the Spanish club Real Madrid. French national team player.
The first football club in Benzema's life was Bron Terraion, in the system of youth teams of which he ended up as a child. In 1996, he joined the Lyon Olympique, first becoming involved in the first team of this team in 2004. He made his professional debut in the 2004/05 season. As part of the French team, he won four Ligue 1 league titles in a row. In the 2007/08 season, Benzema became a starter and had a successful year, scoring over 30 goals in all competitions.
