I was elected as Chairman and Senior Partner of PwC’s UK and Middle East alliance in 2016, and re-elected for a second term in 2020. I initially joined the Executive Board in 2008 to lead the Advisory businesses, having previously spent the majority of my career in Business Restructuring, specialising in providing turnaround and crisis management support to clients in the public and private sectors for over 25 years.
During this period I developed and led PwC’s turnaround and support offering to the NHS and other providers and worked extensively advising pension scheme trustees and employers on covenant assessments.
Originally, I joined the firm in 1984 on the graduate training programme, qualifying as a chartered accountant (ICAEW), and becoming a Partner in 1996. Throughout my career I have championed equality, social mobility and the diversity agenda within PwC.
