Kobato is a fantasy manga series authored by Clamp, a manga artist group consisting of Satsuki Igarashi, Nanase Ohkawa, Mokona, and Tsubaki Nekoi. The manga was originally published in Japan in Monthly Sunday Gene-X, Kadokawa Shoten, Newtype, and Shogakukan. The series began its publication on December 18, 2004 and was discontinued on August 7, 2011. It was licensed by Yen Press and Sentai Filmworks and had its anime adaptation directed by Mitsuyuki Masuhara, with the music composed by Takeshi Hama.
