On August 21st, 2017, S&T and Kontron completed a merger of the two companies with. Kontron's stock was delisted from the exchange. Kontronand shareholders became those of S&T Deutschland Holding AG which is not publicly listed. The ratio of ownership between Kontron and S&T shares was 1:1. and shareholdersShareholders were offered consignment of shares in S&T or compensation in cash. Kontron remained a brand and all of its subsidiaries retained their legal independence and names. The chairman of the supervisory board of Kontron AG, Richard Neuwirth stated:
