Laurel Clark

Laurel Clark was born on October 3, 1961, in Ames, Iowa and held multiple occupations, including officer in the armed forces, astronaut, and physician. She was educated at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and held citizenship in the United States.

Throughout her career, Clark received numerous awards, such as the U.S. Department of Defense Distinguished Service Medal (Posthumous), Navy Service Medal with two stars (three awards), Congressional Space Medal of Honor (Posthumous), NASA Distinguished Service Medal (Posthumous), Medal "For space flight" (posthumously), National Defense Service Medal, and the Naval badge for foreign military service.

Laurel Clark passed away on February 1, 2003, in Texas.
