Laurence Olivier (born May 22, 1907, in Dorking) was a versatile British actor and filmmaker. He worked as a dramaturge, screenwriter, politician, theatre director, film producer, character actor, actor, and film director. Olivier was educated at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama and St Edward's School, Oxford.
He was known for his notable works like Richard III and Marathon Man. Olivier specialized in the genre of Shakespearean comedy. He passed away on July 11, 1989, in West Sussex.
