Laurence Trimble (born February 15, 1885, in Robbinston, Maine, and died February 8, 1954, in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles) was a writer, screenwriter, actor, and film director. Throughout his career, Trimble directed many films, some of which include A Place in the Sun, My Old Dutch, The Spreading Dawn, and The Murdoch Trial.
Trimble also helmed the projects Brawn of the North, Sally in Our Alley, Everybody's Sweetheart, Jean and the Calico Doll, and Jean the Match-Maker. Additional directing credits include A Tin-Type Romance, Lost and Won, For Her People, and The Shepherd Lassie of Argyle.
Laurence Trimble's further directorial work comprises of Shopgirls, Fool's Gold, Spotlight Sadie, Darling Mine, and The Love Master.
