The main activity of the institute is connected with the creation and development of chemical technologies for processing uranium and rare metal ores, obtaining the main structural materials of the nuclear complex, obtaining high-purity gases for microelectronics and alternative energy. Research is being carried out on the creation of technologies for the synthesis of ion-exchange and mineral sorbents of a new generation, technologies for the production of fluorine and its compounds for the manufacture of special glasses, fiber optics and devices based on them, technological schemes for neutralizing emissions and discharges.
