Brendan Fallis, Karl Gemperli, and Todd Daniels. It was founded with the goal of bringing venture capital investment opportunities to the Kansas City startup market. It makes early stage capital investments in technology companies in amounts between $500,000 to $1.25 million. It has invested in the artificial intelligence, big data, cyber security, machine learning, robotics, SaaS, PaaS, and wireless sectors.

Leawood Venture Capital launched its first fund valued at $25 million in 2017. In 2019, it opened its second fund with a goal of raising $75 million.
