Leicester City F.C.

Leicester City F.C. is a football club from England. Leicester City club was founded in 1884 and is based in city of Leicester at King Power Stadium. Fox is the club's symbol and their nickname is the Foxes. Leicester's color is blue. The foxes have never been favorites and always struggled for survival in Premier League. Their only trophies were three Leagues Cups. However they have become a real sensation in 2015-1016 and they won the Premier League.

Claudio Ranieri was their manager. The Italian manager has not been very successful until he came to Leicester team. He managed to create a strong and distinctive team.

Kasper Schmeichel is Leicester's main goalkeeper. Kasper is the son of legendary Danish goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel. The couple of Foxes centre-backs were Robert Huth from Germany and their captain Wes Morgan who plays for Jamaica. Austrian Christian Fuchs and English Danny Simpson were two wing-backs. Consistent players in the central half were French N'Golo Kante and English Danny Drinkwater. Mark Albrighton was Leicester's left midfielder and Riyad Mahez played in the right wing. An Algerian attacker has become a real star with 15 goals and 11 assists so far this season. The due to their strikers are Japanese Shinji Okazaki and English Jamie Vardy. 29-year old Vardy has been wonderful and was the best scorer in the League with 19 goals. Vardy and Mahrez were heroes of Leicester and the club's success is possible due their unbelievable form.

in 2016 Ranieri received an award: coach of the year and Leicester became team of the year at BBC Sports. Few month after in February 2017 Ranieri was fired due to the club's form. Foxes were only 1 point away from redelegation zone. When Ranieri left the club Craig Shakespeare became a caretaker manager of the club and Foxes had started to show good results immediately.

in 2016-2017 Leicester City was qualified for UEFA Champions League. They became unbeaten group winners and finished as a quarter finalist. In October 2017 Shakespeare was replaced with Claude Puel. Puel had managed to move Leicester from 18th place in a table to 8th in a 2 month time. In 2019 when the team was on 12th place Puel was fired and replaced with Brendan Rodgers. Brendan Rogers previously was a Liverpool F.C. manager.

In 2019-2020 Leicester City Foxes showed amazing results. From the season beginning they were on a 4th place in a table. The season they finished on 5t place and it was their second result in the Premier League.

May 2021 was unforgettable for for Leicester City fans. 15th of May Leicester City was playing against Chelsea. After winning the game with a score 1-0 Leicester city became FA Cup winners for the first time in history.

Leicester City club also was qualified for UEFA 2021-2022.
