Leland H. Hartwell

Leland H. Hartwell (born 30 October 1939) is an American geneticist , biologist , and biochemist . He was born in Los Angeles, California and holds citizenship in the United States .

Hartwell was educated at several institutions, including Glendale High School in California , California Institute of Technology , and Massachusetts Institute of Technology . He specializes in the academic discipline of Biology .

He is well-known for his work in cell cycle regulation .
