On August 30, 2016, Lemonade completed its series A funding round with an undisclosed amount from XL Innovate, the venture capital arm of insurance firm XL Catlin. Eight months prior, Lemonade completed a $13 million inseed fundinground from Sequoia Capital Israel and Aleph.
