BIOGRAPHY
He was born in Nottingham in Nottinghamshire . His parents were from Trinidad and Tobago. His mother, Phyllis Mary James, died when he was ten years old. Together with his brother Kester, instead of emigrating to the US where his relatives lived, he grew up in a London orphanage.
At 16, he was courting a social worker who had two older children, whom he became friends with. Graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London in 1988.
CAREER
D. Lenny entered the Guildhall School of Music and Theater, which he successfully graduated in 1988. He starred in such films as "Snatch", "24 Hour Party People" and "Sahara".
He played the main and episodic roles in the series: "State within the State", "The Walking Dead" , "Ghosts", as well as in the post-apocalyptic series "Jericho".
LIFE
He emigrated to the USA, where he married Gisele Glasman, with whom he has three daughters; Romy, Celine and Georgia. Celine and Georgia entered the elite American universities, which are part of the so-called The Ancient Eight.
