Leonard Bernstein was born on August 25, 1918, in Lawrence, Massachusetts. During his lifetime, he was a pianist, composer, and associate professor. Bernstein held citizenship of the United States.
During his education, Bernstein attended Harvard University and the Curtis Institute of Music. He is known for composing works in various genres, including opera, symphony, and classical music. Some of his most notable works include "West Side Story", "Candide" (operetta), Symphony No. 3, Symphony No. 2, and Symphony No. 1.
In addition to his musical accomplishments, Leonard Bernstein founded Artful Learning, an educational program that integrates the arts into the curriculum. Bernstein passed away on October 14, 1990, in New York City.
