Leonid Brezhnev

Leonid Brezhnev was a politician , engineer , and military personnel from the Russian Empire , Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic , and Soviet Union . He was born on December 6, 1906, in Kamianske and died on November 10, 1982, in Moscow . Brezhnev had two children, Galina Brezhneva and Yuri Brezhnev . He is known for his notable work, Brezhnev's Trilogy .

Brezhnev received many awards during his lifetime, including the Hero of the Soviet Union , Lenin Peace Prize , Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945" , Order of Lenin , Order of the Red Banner , Order of the Red Star , and Order of the October Revolution . He was also awarded with international honors such as the Order of Karl Marx , Order of the White Lion , and Order of Klement Gottwald . Additionally, he received medals for his military service, such as the Medal "For the Liberation of Warsaw" and Medal "For the Defence of Odessa" .
