Linear Diagnostics Limited (LDL) is a privately held diagnostics company based on a new technology that allows a wide range of molecular diagnostics tests to be carried out using a simple optical system.
LDL's diagnostic platform uses the phenomenon of linear dichroism (LD) for a number of uses ranging from detection of antibiotic resistance in infections to testing for bacteria that cause rotting in food crops. In addition to portability and speed, it also offers the ability to check for multiple targets and types of targets in the same test at the same time.
LDL's solutions has applications in a sectors such as health, food, defence, and security and has partnerships with users in the clinical microbiology, food production, and defense medicine areas.
