Logistics is the organization and coordination of resources such as people, inventory, and equipment within an organization. It typically refers to all the coordination required for products and services to reach their end consumers from their origins. Resource managements through logistics consists of the flow of information, time management, demand planning, production, inventory, materials handling, outbound and inbound transportation, warehousing, order fulfillment, and security. The term logistics is also a military term used to describe the planning, movement, and maintenance of military forces.
